Binding: Electronics
Manufacturer: Amazon.com
Product Description:
At 10.2 ounces, Kindle is lighter than a typical paperback and as thin as most magazines. Barely a third of an inch in profile, you'll find Kindle fits perfectly in your hands. Kindle is as easy to hold and use as a book. We designed it with long-form reading in mind. When reading for long periods of time, people naturally shift positions and often like to read with one hand. Kindle's page-turning buttons are located on both sides, allowing you to read and turn pages comfortably with one hand from any position. The page-turn buttons now flex inward to prevent any accidental page turns when picking up or handling Kindle. Kindle has a new easy-to-use 5-way controller, enabling precise on-screen navigation for selecting text to highlight or looking up words. Kindle is completely wireless and ready to use right out of the box--no setup, no cables, no computer required. With Kindle's 25% longer battery life, you can read on a single charge for up to 4 days with wireless on. Turn wireless off and read for up to 2 weeks. Battery life will vary based on wireless usage, such as shopping the Kindle Store and downloading content. In low coverage areas or in 1xRTT only coverage, wireless usage will consume battery power more quickly. Whispernet utilizes Amazon's optimized technology plus Sprint's national high-speed (3G) data network to enable you to wirelessly search, discover, and download content on the go. Your books and periodicals are delivered via Whispernet in less than 60 seconds. And unlike WiFi, you never have to hunt for a hotspot.

Great for old books
good for books in the public domain. Needs a bit of work with symbols though

The Kindle-Love it!!
Love it, Love it, Love it!!!!
Don't know why I waited. I use it everyday and love it!
I read more now than ever!
Thank you!!!

I Love My Kindle
It was an instant attraction...my Kindle and me...we need each other...we fulfill each other...hee hee hee...
Seriously, it is one of the best gadgets I have ever purchased. It is easy to use, I love buying books to put on it, Whispernet is wondrous, it is more, much more than a book. I also feel as though I am not hurting the environment when I put books on my Kindle. I cannot imagine reading without a Kindle. I own tons of books and yet when I want to read, I instantly turn to my Kindle. I love having a ton of books with me when I travel and my Kindle allows me to do this without paying for extra weight. I would not want to be without a Kindle ever. I love the .99 book price for most books because that amount seems reasonable and fair.

Kindle 6" display, latest generation
I have been watching the reviews for at least 9 months and finally made the decision to buy the Kindle. The best decision I ever made. The size is perfect, I love the highlighting and dictionary features. Downloading books is so easy and I like the free book offers as well.

Hooked
I bought the kindle as I was concerned about how many trees I was killing. This has to be the way of the future. It is extremely easy to read and operate. I have had so many positive comments on it and am thinking of asking for a referral fee from Amazon. It is that good.

Now before you buy do some research - some books are not available in your coutnry and you may have to wait a fair while before they are. If this does not bother you, purchase one straight away. I have reconciled the fact that I have to wait for some authors just like I wait for paperbacks.

Enjoy and no longer do you have to go into a store - Amazon Kindle is amazing.

Video Games and Their Sources-Its About Time

It was the land before time, or at least what most of us can remember, when the video gaming concept came about. Video games and their sources started with an example back around 1947 with the “Cathode Ray Tube Amusement Device” by two individuals by the names of Thomas T. Goldsmith Jr. and Estle Ray Mann. They filed for a patent and almost two years later, in 1948, the patent was issued. It’s about time someone came up with the concept and here we are 50 some years later technology has given us the ability at the click of a button to entertain our family and friends in the comfort of our own home. Think about how bored the majority of society would be today without it, especially age groups from teens in to the forties.

It wasn’t until 1971 when a game called “Computer Space” came out. It was the first coin operated commercially sold video game and the display was a black and white television screen. Atari came out with “Pong” in 1972 for the arcades and in 1975 the home version came out. From then on (around 2000) a trend and a need for entertainment with competition was on. Thus the term, “Game On”.

Video Games fall under several categories. One being for fun and the other is serious. Most games sold today are for the entertainment category and are usually played by the younger crowd. The elder generation will buy games mostly to stay in shape or for their informational value or for propaganda.

One of the best gaming systems on the market today is the Nintendo Wii. It offers a wide variety of games that are easy to understand and gives people a workout also without the cumbersome cable attachment that earlier gaming systems came out with. The Sony Play Stations and their systems also offer a wide variety with similar, if not a wider range of audience. Both are good systems for entertainment.

Today most video games and their sources can be found on the internet while some prefer shopping in stores the old fashioned way so they can touch and feel it in their hands before purchasing. When serious gamers know what they want and where to look, they can purchase and download it right onto their PC and start playing immediately.

Along with all of today’s systems, there is a great amount of other entertainment, not only the games can be downloaded online, but music, videos and shows can be a part of their system to put all together as a full entertainment system. Once you get a great audio system put behind all of that and you’ll never want to leave the house again.

It can become confusing when trying to decide on a system for video games, and their sources even more can become overwhelming if you are somewhat technically challenged. Don’t give up, there are places that will help you with technical support almost anywhere you look on a 24/7 basis.

So with all that being said, there are such places in what we call cyberspace now for video games and their sources-It’s About Time!
